5 Things to Remember When Saving Your Digital Layouts
1. Always save your layout in the native form of your digital scrapbooking program. This is important if you ever want to go back and change something on the layout. It will also allow you to save the layout in any number of formats without losing resolution.
2. When you want to print out your layout you will need to save it as a JPEG or JPG with a 200 ppi.
3. Always be sure to merge your files if you are saving them to be printed. If you print them before merging and saving you can end up with two different results.
4. Always save a back up copy of your work on an external hard drive or a cd. You don't want to loose all of your layouts or supplies because you had a hard drive crash. I like to use a jump drive for this.
5. If you would like to go from one digital program to another, the best way to save your layout would be to export it as a png after you save it in your program's native format. Then you have the best of both worlds without losing any resolution.
