how to make digital card

Supplies:
Adhesives: Scotch Wrinkle Free Glue Stick (3M), Glue Glider (Glue Arts)
Cardstock: Core’dinations White Wash Pickle Barrel (ColorCore)
Die-cuts: various fonts using the (Silhouette)
Ink: VersaMark (Tsukineko), red and green distress inks
Patterned paper: Screen Print Overlay (Hambly Studios), Christmas Is... (BasicGrey), other papers (Cloud 9 Design)
Pens: (ZIG)
Rub-ons: BoBunny
Stamps: From the Garden (Fancy Pants)
Stickers: (KI Memories)
Tools: Electronic cutting tool (Silhouette)
Other/Misc: Clear Embossing Powder (Ranger) 1. I started by laying out the paper I’d chosen for my layout base.

2. After cutting the Core’dinations paper in half, I adhered one piece to the bottom of each side of my layout.

3. Working with overlays can be tricky. A little tip is to plan around the fact that you need to hide your adhesive. Here, I cut my overlay in half and then placed it on top of my layout. Using the border stickers, I was able to adhere my overlay to the layout just enough to keep it in place until I came back with more adhesive a little later.

4. Using other patterns from the line, I matted my photos. A little rule of thumb I go by is to cut my mats a ½“ bigger than my picture. This allows a quarter of an inch mat all the way around your photo 7 The tag is one I did while following along with Tim Holtz’s 12 Tags of Christmas in 2009. It showcases one of my favorite techniques: Resist.

a. Start by lightly inking the tag with green distress ink.

b. Then, using VersaMark, I stamped my image in the bottom right corner of the tag. I used clear embossing powder to emboss my image.

c. Then comes the inking! I inked the tag using red and green distress inks. The fabulous part is that the embossed image resists the ink!

d. I added some embellishments and ribbon, as well as a title, also cut from my Silhouette.
