Making Easter Decorations

If you love to make your own embellishments, making larger home decorations will be something that appeals to you . Essentially, your decoration is an embellishment, just on a larger scale. Here are some ideas when thinking about handmade banners and other decorations: - If you love making tags, try making a banner. It's simply a larger-scale project. - It's a great way to showcase a pretty piece of paper that you simply can't bring yourself to cut. - Add a special touch to a child's room by making a banner with his or her name on it and showcasing loved things with smaller embellishments to decorate it. - Tie your home decor projects into a season, holiday or your regular home decor. - It's also a great way to make party-themed decorations or for occasions that are hard to find decor for. Create a wedding banner that is the perfect color or theme.I used the Easter Seasonal cartridge to cut eggs, flowers and chicks, as well as the phrase 'Happy Easter', while the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge was used to cut my bunny and basket. I also used Tim Holtz Pewter Distress Paint to add some extra dimension to my project around the bunny. A bow and adhesive gems for a little sparkle finished it all off.

One of the biggest reasons many of us don’t touch our scrapbooks for months is that supplies and photos are scattered all over the place. Having to hunt for a book of stickers or a special pair of scissors takes all the fun out of creating a new page for your scrapbook. Here are few ideas how you can create a scrapbooking organization process.

Group your supplies by theme. Create one general supplies container that has all your essential tools and materials in it. Then sort your stickers, special papers and accessories by category. Depending on what scrapbooks you are working on, you could organize them by particular scrapbook (i.e. wedding scrapbook, child’s scrapbook etc.), or you could organize them by season (Christmas stuff, summer themed supplies etc.) or overall theme or color scheme. 

Get the pictures you are planning to use as well. I usually sort them into separate envelopes, or small boxes for each scrapbook I am working on. If you are organizing your supplies by scrapbook, it’s a good idea to keep your picture box for that scrapbook with the rest of your supplies.

I like to use clear plastic bins to store my scrapbooking supplies, so I can easily see what’s inside. Clear, descriptive labels on the outside of the box help as well. Store the boxes of supplies for scrapbooks you are currently working on close to the area where you like to scrapbook. This will keep you from running back and forth for supplies.

Store any supplies for books that you are not currently working on, or any extra supplies you may have purchased on sale, or for future projects in a dark, dry place. A closet in a spare room makes a great storage place. You’ll find you will enjoy scrapbooking even more when everything you need is right at your fingertips. Go out and get some boxes or plastic bins to store your supplies and start organizing your supplies this week.

Making a digital photo

collage is not as difficult as one might think. Now you can even make a photo collage on the computer, with just Microsoft Publisher, photo editing software, and digital photos collage are simple.

It is a very simple with most photo editing software. Photo Collage is collage software that is capable of creating eye-catching photo collages, desktop wallpaper, CD and DVD covers, and miscellaneous Web graphics. A very good photo editing software is PhotoShop Elements and older versions of it, which are perfectly fine, often come included with a new digital camera, printer or scanner.
Make Photo Collage using below steps:
Step 1: Sets collage's size
On main interface, click "Collage" button from collage menu, and click Collage Setup, on this dialog, select collage's size as 5"x7.
Step 2: Sets collage's background
Select collage's background, by click on collage menu, on this dialog, selects collage's background picture, and selects display mode, then click "OK" button to return to main interface, notice collage's background has changed. You could also select "Background Filling Effect" from the menu
Step 3: Sets collage's frame
From the collage menu, click on collage frame, select it and then click "OK" button to return to main interface.
Step 4: Inserts images
On main interface, click "Image" button, in this dialog, click "Browse" button to locate your images folder, then all images in the folder are displayed as thumbnail, select one, then click "Open" button, then, the selected image will be inserted onto collage.
Step 5: Sets mask for images
On main interface, click an image to select it, then click "Blend" button, select a mask pattern for the image, then click "OK" button.
Step 6: Adds Text
Click "Text" button, from main interface. You could key in your words here, then click outside the text box to finish editing. Click the drop arrow on "Text" button, You could set text's shadow and filling effect also.
Step 7: Save and Print
After than you can save your print your photo collage, just click save and print options from the main interface.
Step 8: More functions
After download Photo Collage and install it, you can view User Manual on the help document to learn more functions of this program, such as rotating image, processing image, editing image, browsing image, batch rename, batch process.
